We're thrilled to announce a fresh addition to our suite of calendar tools, brought to you by our development team. Meet the Collective Booking calendar type!
What is Collective Booking?
This innovative calendar type allows multiple users to share a single calendar. When someone wishes to schedule an appointment with various team members, they can view time slots based on the combined availability of all the team members linked to that calendar.
Ideal Use Cases:
Scheduling a sales call involving both an executive and an SDR.
Organizing a technical support call that requires both a customer support representative and an engineer.
Coordinating interviews that need both a recruiter and a hiring manager.
Setting It Up:
To access this new feature, navigate to settings
, then calendars
, and click on Create calendar
. You'll spot the new option right away. The setup menu is quite similar to that of a group calendar. Once you've filled in the necessary details and confirmed, you'll receive direct links to your new calendar.
Distinguishing Features:
To truly grasp the nuances of the Collective Booking calendar, head over to the 'meeting details'. Here, you'll notice that one user is designated as the 'owner', leading the appointment. If you ever need to switch roles, a simple 'make owner' click will transfer ownership to another user.
